when I click "open outlook" from the system tray, it says "Outlook is not responding" Of course it's not responding, it's supposed to be closed, why are you still open? To maximize Outlook, click on the system tray icon again and choose "Open Outlook." Note: If reminders fire, they will still show up on the taskbar. Minimize Outlook And voila, Outlook will not show up on the taskbar. How do I fix this? if it doesn't open outlook and doesn't close when I close outlook, what in the world is its purpose, and why isn't there an option to turn it off? The system tray envelope appears and won't disappear when I read a new message, but only when my Outlook hasn't finished retrieving all the new messages yet.
